About Us

In 2006, unhappy with the lack of personal service in the pet industry, Donna Richardson answered the call.
Calling upon her lifetime of experience in animal care, with help from her husband Doug and son Joe along with an army of friends and family members Richardson's Feed and Pet Center was born. In the nearly two decades since Richardson's Feed has become Kentuckys premier source for Pet Equine and livestock care, nutrition and education.
At Richardson's our clients are our extended family. We care about your pets like our own.

Donna is a GEM. My dog and I drove all the way out to Shepherdsville just to check out this store because I had read so many wonderful things, and it did not disappoint. The selection of raw, freeze dried, and dry dog foods is unmatched and the service is amazing. Donna cares so deeply for all of her customers and their questions and issues and that was made very apparent as we talked for more than 2 hours while I bombarded her with questions about my dog's health. My dog and I also just moved to town from NYC and Donna supplied a vet recommendation that was unmatched! I cannot say enough good things about Richardson's! They will even deliver to Louisville but I still want to drive out to Shepherdsville just to chat with Donna again. Thank you, Donna!!

I happened to be in Shepherdsville KY for a three day AKC Scent Work trial. I heard someone mention the wonderful products at the feed store I had passed by that morning. I had to drive by the store several times that weekend so when I had the chance, I stopped. I had a headache from no coffee that day and the owner, Donna Richardson treated me as though she had known me for years. She gave me some coffee ☕️ while I shopped. I was probably in her store for an hour just chatting. Her inventory was Great... I didn't expect such a variety of choices. Customer service is second to none!!!! I will stop in again for sure when I'm back in Shepherdsville!!! Thanks Donna.
